Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Is our wedding Legal in the UK?
A. Yes your wedding is completely recognised by UK Law.

Q. Do we need witnesses?
A. Yes, you will need two witnesses to sign at the wedding ceremony. If you are travelling alone then Paphos Brides can arrange two witnesses to attend on your behalf.

Q. Can we choose the time and date of our wedding?
A. Yes, you can request a certain time and date for your wedding and we will try to obtain this for you. Due to high demand it may not always be possible to secure your first choice so it is wise to have a couple of alternatives. Once we have booked with the Town hall or Church we will be able to confirm the time and date to you.

Q. Can we use recommended suppliers other than yours?
A. As stated in our Terms and Conditions we can only co-ordinate your wedding if booking through us with our suppliers. Great care has been taken to ensure the standard of service that we provide and we feel that we cannot professionally co-ordinate your wedding with unknown outside suppliers being involved. Our suppliers are fully aware of our expected standards of service and we have special arrangements and designs unique to Paphos Brides giving our wedding couples value for money whilst not compromising quality.

Q. Can we use our own special music for the ceremony?
A. This can usually be arranged and if getting married in a church this can be discussed on arrival with the church representatives. For town hall weddings it can usually be incorporated into the service either as the bride enters or after the ceremony whilst signing the register. If you do not have special music then the usual wedding march is generally used.

Q. Will the ceremony be in English?
A. Yes, all ceremonies are conducted in English.

Q. Can we write our own vows?
A. The standard vows usually still have to be said for your ceremony to be legal but if pre-arranged then it is usually permissible for the Bride and Groom to incorporate their own. This would be discussed at the meeting with Church or Town hall representatives on arrival beforehand.

Q. What happens if my wedding dress is creased?
A. There are a few tricks of the trade that we can recommend to help with this problem but if necessary then we can arrange for your dress to be pressed before the big day.

Q. Are all types of flowers available in Cyprus?
A. Most flowers are available in Cyprus but may need to be imported which will incur additional costs. We will discuss all of your requirements with you before you arrive so we will know if there are any special requirements to arrange. Please note if you require a special arrangement we should be notified in advance of your arrival as any special requests may not be possible at short notice. If you have any queries then please contact us.

Q. Can we have a specially designed Wedding Cake.
A. Our cakes supplied in our collections are of the highest quality and have been specifically designed for Paphos Brides. We have chosen a simple yet elegant design which is gorgeous as it is or can be made to accommodate your own cake topper or have a special flowers arrangement made to put on the top (this will incur additional cost).

If you have your own design contact us and we will to our utmost to accommodate you.

If you have any other queries or questions then please do not hesitate to contact us.
